What’s in it

Twelve little things worth knowing.

Favorites, habits and small preferences. Easy to answer about yourself, surprisingly hard to guess about someone else.

  1. Mornings

The alarm goes off. What happens first?

  2. Comfort food

Long day. What are you craving for dinner?

  3. Plane seat

Which seat do you want on a plane?

  4. Season

    Which season is your favorite?

  5. Dream trip

    Pick a dream trip.

  6. Movie night

It’s movie night. What are you in the mood for?

  7. At a party

At a party, where are you most likely to be?

  8. Texting

    What’s your texting style?

  9. Free Saturday

You have a free Saturday. How do you spend it?

  10. Couch snack

Pick a snack for the couch.

  11. Packing

How do you pack for a trip?

  12. Chores

Which chore do you mind the least?

How the score works

Four rounds, two scores.

  1. 1The first player answers about themselves.
  2. 2The second player guesses those answers.
  3. 3The second player answers the same questions about themselves.
  4. 4The first player guesses those.

A guess counts when it matches exactly. Each of you scores out of 12, and the verdict looks at both. It’s a game, not a grade on your relationship.

Your answers are a diary, not data.

Questions

Good to know

Is it really private?
Yes. The whole quiz runs in your browser. Your names and answers are never sent to us or anyone else, and nothing is saved. Close the tab or tap Start over, and it’s gone.
Do we need two phones?
No, one is plenty. The first player answers about themselves and passes the phone. The second player guesses those answers, then answers the same 12 about themselves. The phone goes back for the last round of guesses, then you look at the scores together.
How is the score worked out?
A guess counts when it matches your partner’s own answer exactly. Each of you gets a score out of 12 for how well you guessed the other, and the verdict looks at both scores together.
What if we get a low score?
Then you have plenty to talk about. A quiz about snacks and plane seats is not a measure of your relationship. Ask about every miss, and play again in a few months to see who improves.
Is there a longer version?
Sort of. WhoIs?, our card game for couples, is built on the same idea, with 167 question cards. Read one out, your partner says who it describes, and if you agree, they keep the card. It works for a group too.
Is this the same as the Same Page Check?
No. This one is light: favorites, habits and little preferences. The Same Page Check is our other free quiz, about the bigger things like money, chores and what’s next, and it shows where you two line up.
