Who we are

The Couples Company LLC is a California company that makes The Couples Contract, the WhoIs? card game and free tools for couples. “We” and “us” in this policy mean The Couples Company. You can reach us at hello@thecouplescompany.com.

What we collect, and why

Your email address

When you sign up for the weekly question or ask us to tell you when something opens, we save your email address, where you signed up and what you asked about. We use it only to send you those emails. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, or you can write to us.

Orders

When checkout opens, buying something means sharing your name, email and, for WhoIs?, a shipping address, so we can deliver your order and send receipts. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Your Couples Contract answers

The Couples Contract is personal, so we treat your answers like a diary. They are encrypted when stored, visible only to you and your partner, kept out of our analytics and logs, never sold, and never used to train AI. You can delete your answers, or your whole contract, whenever you like. When you do, they are gone from our systems except for routine backups, which expire on their own.

The free quizzes

The Same Page Check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to us or saved, and refreshing the page clears them.

Basic technical information

Like any website, our hosting provider processes basic technical details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t run ad trackers on the site.

Who helps us run the site

We share information only with the services that help us run The Couples Company, and only what each one needs:

• Vercel, which hosts the site and stores email signups.
• Stripe, which processes payments once checkout opens.
• An email provider, once we start sending emails.

We never sell or rent your information. We would only share it beyond these services if the law required it.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@thecouplescompany.com and we’ll take care of it. If you live in California or another place with privacy laws, these are your rights under those laws too, and we’ll never treat you differently for using them.

Adults only

Our products are made for adults in relationships. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email first.
